A few souls braved arctic conditions to make the first Groucho South East meeting of the year on Monday 22 February.

Instead of moaning about lack of commissions, initial discussion from two photographers centered on the problems of elderly parents and care home availability. But media related topics forced their way back onto the agenda when Nick Snow questioned the benefits of maintaining an office compared to working from home.

Kent Barker wondered about the desirability of letting your home be used as a photographic location - and wondered how to go about it.

Our estimable founder (Roger not Groucho) was spotted in the neighboughood a few days later at the memorial for Alice Stevenson - late wife of Grouchist Dick. Our sincere condolences to him and the rest of the family.

Roger, in his new life, has started a rival to our gathering - Groucho on the Rye (http://grouchoontherye2.blogspot.com/). We wish him well. He seems to be enjoying London life and reports to being much busier since the move.
